SUMMER

From June to September takes place a great alpine summer. There’s a high season in July and August; the prices of accommodations are higher and the weather mostly changeable. If you can choose the period it’s better to come in June or September when the weather is settled, there is less people and the prices are lower.
Look at our proposals for that period but don’t forget to ask us per mail a programme adapted to your needs. We’ll answer very soon!

A week spent with your family in the Dolomites is one of the most various and exciting holiday you can imagine. Rock Climbig, even on aid-routes, trekking to discover  breath-taking views of these gorgeous mountains, as well as visiting mediaeval castles and the marvellous inner-city of Bolzano, and finally get a deserved rest in the biggest thermal bath of Europe. Day 1
Arrive in Bolzano welcomed by a mountain guide. Short organizing meeting to explain the week programme.

Day 2
Trekking day. We’ll explore  Dolomites with a one-day tour around the striking top  of the “Roda di Vaèl.  We’ll walk under great rock faces, go up and slide down gullies, and finally we’ll visit one of the oldest mountain dews of the Dolomites. A small hight difference, of about 435 m, can gives you a big satisfaction anyway…  
Day 3
“Ferrata”- day. We’ll climb up along the aid-route “Tridentina” (Sella group). It’s the most classical and spectacular ferrata in the Dolomites. You can’t go home without doing it! It is suitable even for children, because its steps are never too high for them.
Day 4
Independently, but with all necessary information you’ll take the bike and visit in complete relax the two beautiful castles near Bolzano. Runkelstein Castle: a rare example of a medieval manor with the most valuable chivalrous frescoes. Firmian Castle: the biggest castle in Alto Adige; today is the seat of the Messner Mountain Museum.  
Day 5
Climbing corse day. We’ll walk up in the suggestive location of the “Passo Sella”, in order to climb up the huge rock blocks of the “Città dei Sassi (City of rocks)”, which are the remains of a primordial, gigantic rock slade. Pendulums, Tyrolean rope traverses, abseilings: every rope trick will be applied.  
Day 6
Independently, but with all necessary information, you’ll spend the morning at the “Tarzaning Park” in Terlano, which will be very funny for your children. In the afternoon, to everybody’s delight, you’ ll go to the enormous thermal bath of Merano town. It’s the biggest thermal complex in Europe with 17 swimming pools and saunas. It occupies the whole quarter. You must absolutely visit it ! 
Day 7
Shopping or visit of Bolzano. Departure

 

A mountain guide will welcome you and attend you during the days dedicated to the hiking/ferrata/climbing and will support you during the other days as well. He wiil be your contact person for any requirement during the whole week.The whole mountain technical equipment (helm, harness, slings and karabiners) is supplied by the mountain guide and is included in the participation share.
