A “absolute must” of the cross-country skiing in the Dolomites is the Dobbiaco-Cortina, 40 km long valley slope on the line of the old First World War railway. It’s the slope of the Dobbiaco-Cortina international ski marathon. A very nice ski slope in a wild valley with a direct panorama on the famous three peaks of Lavaredo and a characteristic end in the famous town of Cortina d’Ampezzo. We have time for a short visit of Cortina and then we come back to Dobbiaco with the local bus.

We prepare us for the first section of this long cross country ski slope, we deposit our luggages in the room and take the bus to the Maloja pass. From the Maloja pass to Samedan we have 38 km linear slope in the magnific area of the Maloja lakes, St. Moritz and Pontresina. Overnight in the characteristic little town of Samedan and the second day we start from our hotel and continue in the valley for other 43 km to Zernez through all towns of the valley.
