Hi everyone! Let me introduce myself:
I was born in Bolzano, in the heart of the Dolomites, on the 9th of July, 1963. Generations of my family have lived in this lovely place and it remains my home.
I started climbing at a very early age, quickly discovering an affinity for the mountains. In more than 30 years of mountaineering activity I have amassed over one thousand different ascents in my local Dolomites and in the rest of the Alps. I expanded my climbing experience with winter mountaineering ascents, free solo climbs, and the opening of a dozen new alpine climbing routes in the central and eastern Dolomites.
My broad and extended knowledge of climbing in the Dolomites has led me to write five books on the subject. The books are well known to the Italian public and well received by them. Three of the books are climbing guides dedicated to the rediscovery of forgotten ascents in the wild areas of the Dolomites. My fourth book pertains to sport climbing in the Bolzano area and the last one is about ski mountaineering in Tyrolean region.
What is my objective now? It is to accompany you and guide you in your discovery of the most authentic corners on your dolomites holiday, be it through rock or ice climbing, via ferrata, trekking or ski mountaineering. For this reason, some years ago, I developed “DiscoveryDolomites”, the first website completely dedicated to hikers, climbers, skiers and mountaineers who want to visit the Dolomites. I strive always to tailor each experience to your unique needs and desires – just ask! With my 30 years of “know how” with climbing and skiing in the Dolomites and general travel logistics in Italy, I can help you organise any aspect of your vacation in my country.
I’m an I.F.M.G.A. (International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations) certified mountain guide (international license), webmaster, and unique provider of specialised custom Dolomites adventures, in short: a Dolomites holiday professional operator.
And now, take a look at my five books!
