In every travel the information of the local people are important, here in Italy the Dolomites information can be more important because many logistic resources on the webpage (local transports, accommodations, etc…) are only in italian-german language.

Dolomites information: why should you stay in Bolzano/Bozen or nearby?
For a good nomadic tour in the Dolomites, you need a well-positioned “base camp” that will allow logical travel patterns and will minimize the time needed to get to different areas.

Bolzano/Bozen, as base camp, is the correct choice for different reasons:
1. Dolomites information: a perfect logistical position
Bolzano is conveniently located in the middle of the various Dolomites mountain groups, which allows us to get to any of the mountains in a very short time (30 minutes to a maximum of 2 hours by car).
2. Dolomites information: accommodations in hotels and B&B
The accommodations in Bolzano are of the same quality as in the famous tourist places, but are much cheaper. In high season you will definitely appreciate how much calmer it is in Bolzano.
3. Dolomites information: cultural and traditional attractions
During your rest days you can visit numerous artistic and cultural treasures right in Bolzano, including the historic medieval town center, several magnificent castles and the Reinhold Messner Mountain Museum. In addition, it is easy to add a visit to the amazing Thermal Spa of nearby Merano. The biggest one of its kind in Europe. Relaxation will become a fundamental part of your holiday!
