Dolomites information: important info for your travel in the Dolomites

Hi folks, I’m Roberto, your personal Dolomites tutor for the ! If you are looking for Dolomites information, read here my best archive of tips to travel in the Dolomites, practical suggestions and more.. I’ve created these dolomites information PDF files and instructional YouTube videos to help you organise your travel to Italy and the Dolomites.

You can download the IMPORTANT DOLOMITES INFORMATION SHEETS that you see on the “right bar” of this page, for free in PDF format. Print it for your use or send it on to the friends who are coming with you.

In every travel the information of the local people are important, here in Italy the Dolomites information can be more important because many logistic resources on the webpage (local transports, accommodations, etc…) are only in italian-german language.
These are indexed on the web only with italian-german keywords…. so are unaccessible at your searches in english.
If you have difficult to access it during the preparative organisation of your travel, don’t hesitate to contact me to ask specific dolomites information.

Begin with the study of the Dolomites territory and the general logistic of transfers with the map here below:

Bolzano / Bozen Dolomites map

Bolzano/Bozen, as base camp, is the correct choice for different reasons:

1. Dolomites information: a perfect logistical position

Bolzano is conveniently located in the middle of the various Dolomites mountain groups, which allows us to get to any of the mountains in a very short time (30 minutes to a maximum of 2 hours by car).

2. Dolomites information: accommodations in hotels and B&B

The accommodations in Bolzano are of the same quality as in the famous tourist places, but are much cheaper.  In high season you will definitely appreciate how much calmer it is in Bolzano.

3. Dolomites information: cultural and traditional attractions

During your rest days you can visit numerous artistic and cultural treasures right in Bolzano, including the historic medieval town center, several magnificent castles and the Reinhold Messner Mountain Museum. In addition, it is easy to add a visit to the amazing Thermal Spa of nearby Merano. The biggest one of its kind in Europe. Relaxation will become a fundamental part of your holiday!

4. Dolomites information: save money of the transfers

Forget the car during your trips in the mountains! Your mountain guide will transport you in his car and you can enjoy the spectacular scenery while he takes care of driving and navigation.

5. Do you have more questions about the logistic organisation of your travel?

The travel information of the local (experienced) people are important for every country that you will visit….. but for Italy are much more important in comparison at every other country.
Italy have a strange and particular “Italian organisation”, set for the Italian mentality…. the international tourist often have difficult to access at the important logistic resources because many of these info are available only in Italian language and only in Italian style…. and many of these are not indexed on the web with keywords in English, in short you can’t access at it…..
Don’t hesitate to contact me with your questions….. three lines of my answers per email can resolve 100% of your travel plan!

See you soon in the magic Dolomites!
Ciao
Roberto
